My name is PJ and I am the beauty and brains behind Classic At Heart. I dabble in art with mediums such as Graphite, Pen&Ink, Colored Pencil, Acrylic, and Watercolor but usually find the most inspiration in art that I'm doing for Friends/Family.
My interests in Photography are two fold. Firstly, it is a heritage that I shared with my late grandfather who was a professional photographer and frame manufacturer for much of his adult life. Having taken at least one Kansas Governor's official portrait as well as having reproduced the historical moldings used in the recent restoration of the Kansas Capitol in Topeka before his death in December 2017. Secondly, photography came about as a natural progression of my art, as I often wanted to capture a scene or item that I would later use as inspiration in a drawing or painting.
What I enjoy most about art and photography is the way that they capture history, memories, and the heart that illustrates all the many joys and sorrows of life.
When I'm not drawing or taking pictures, I can often be found working my day job in Insurance or spending time with family and friends.
